Why I Reported Joe Missing

Alton and the family find it strange that I reported Joe missing so quickly. Let’s review how it went down.

I got there and had the kids run in. They usually came back out and gave me a thumbs up once they found their Dad. Most of the time, he is standing there waiting. He was obsessive. He didn’t miss. Occasionally he would be late if we were meeting halfway, but when I had to take them all the way down there, NEVER. I was not a welcome guest and I was always high tailing it out of there as fast as possible.

When the kids couldn’t find him, we looked around the property. I was taking pictures and video and talking to my lawyer about the state of the house. It was a wreck and I didn’t want to leave my kids there. I was pissed off because he was not there, after making such a big deal that I be there that weekend. I was having conversations with my lawyer at this time and sending text messages with her.

I refused to go in his house because he would have killed me if I had stepped foot. I decided to go over to the neighbor’s house, who he hung out with regularly, to see if they knew where he was. They didn’t know, but she offered to come over and look through his house to see if she could find him. She didn’t find him inside, but she had found his keys and phone. Maybe his wallet. The car was sitting in the driveway. We both had an uneasy feeling. I consulted with my lawyer as to what to do. She directed me to call 911. Maybe there would be an easy explanation, but we were documenting every wacky thing this man was doing. And we wanted documentation that this was going on. At this point I thought he was playing a trick on me. Trying to create a situation.
