In the 48 Hours Episode Mary Shymanski said we were never on even footing financially. She was correct. Joe made a ton of money, traveled, lived the life, didn’t have kids. I worked manual labor on a farm and in a kitchen and I had a family. We were way different. When I moved to live with him he swept me off my feet, stating that he wanted to take care of me, buy me a house. He very much love bombed me. He love bombed my kids. He used his assets as his selling point. And his charm. It was overwhelming and intoxicating. I gave up my career that I built to move with him. To have this dream family. It was such a huge mistake.
I got pregnant with our first child pretty quickly and then along came the baby of the family 12 months later. I did what I could, kept the house, helped redo his ordering system for his business, created a website for him. Filled his orders and shipped them. Delivered them to markets. Did his printing. I was working. Nobody gave me credit for that part.
I know that Joe liked the disparity. He complained outwardly to his friends, but he enjoyed the power dynamic. Control was his thing. Monetary control was definitely a part of that.
Alton McDougle says spending was definitely a problem. Apparently I was written off a check for thousands and then I was given more to help launch a new business.
We lost money in the market when selling off my old house, that is what he is referring to. I wish I had never left that house. And he didn’t give ME money to launch a new business. Joe along with me and two other people decided to invest in a business and new industry. And the seed money came from the sale of one of Joe’s houses that he wanted to put to work. He was in it and FULLY involved. He liked to hold the money investment power over all of us.
Joe liked to throw money around.

And Alton McDougle talking about Joe’s spending is interesting. Joe gave Alton THOUSANDS over the years for various things. Dreamy tacos? I remember that business, Alton. Alton has been bought and paid for. He’s witnessed so many behaviors of Joe’s, I’m sure, but flying monkeys are trained to do what they do. Cover, conceal, and blame.
He also gave Mary Shymanski thousands upon thousands of dollars.
Remember Joe Shymanski manipulating our business partners and not trying to get that loan money back? And I am the one who is financially irresponsible?
Remember him taking a government loan and using it for day trading in pot stocks? When I had something to say about that, I was accused of only wanting him for his money.
How about Joe spending double in attorney fees than me after filing ridiculous motion after motion.
Most recently, July 3 before he died, he had taken a $100,000 loan from one of his close friends. He also had never paid me the monetary settlement from the divorce. He had 3 contempt charges filed against him. Time was ticking. Pressure seemed to be mounting.
