Trying to control my kids’ money
Ted couldn’t manipulate me into signing over control so he tried to just take it. He was trying to do this in the State of Maryland by using the Uniform Transfer to Minor’s Act, a setup that would offer no protection for my children. Ted lives in Michigan. This setup allows for virtually no oversight in how the funds are spent. Fortunately for my children, his request was denied.
This did not stop him, however, from using my children’s money completely irresponsibly and, in my opinion, violating his fiduciary duty under the guise of estate purposes.
