Believe in Something

I did not grow up in a super religious household. God and Jesus were an overarching theme, but I also had a father who had been through war and the hell that goes with it. So, it is in my opinion he was a bit jaded. I can certainly understand that. However, his good nature, integrity and love for his family were never in question. And those attributes were powerful.

This formed me into being a bit of seeker. I was looking for something deeper. And God sure did have a path for me to figure it out. I have lived in a meditation-based, spiritual community. I have worked with the land. I have lived a very simple, pared down lifestyle. I have explored themes of Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and more; I am a curious person. I have meditated daily for the last decade. Everything I have learned has led me to something else. And this experience has led me right to the feet of God.

I recommend believing in something bigger. Whatever your religion, whomever you pray to. Explore it, embrace it and know that the faith it provides will be there to help you through the hardest of times. I absolutely believe God exists, I have been witness to His work and protection.
