Why did it take so long to notify the family?

To me the Shymanski family pointing out that it is suspicious that it took 2.5 hours to notify them is bananas.

I thought he was trying to play a prank on me so I did call 911 by the advice of my lawyer. That took some time until someone came out there from the Sheriff’s department. We talked to them, me AND the neighbor. That took some time.

And understand, I was still expecting him to show up.

And then the police started searching the house and garage, no sign of him. I waited in the driveway. Then they decided to bring an officer over who had a drone that they could fly to look for heat signals. It was getting dark at this point. I was starting to get really uneasy. My kids were at the neighbor’s house. One of the neighbors was still there with me. Finally, they said they couldn’t see anything and were going to have to pick up in the morning.

All of that probably did take 2.5 hours.

And then I called his family. And his best friends.

I hadn’t talked to these people since I left our marital home, but I called them. I did not have to.

Can you imagine if I hadn’t called at all? What they’d be saying then??
